This documentary follows the installation 6 Degrees at Glastonbury Festival. This was crafted from mycelium panels, a new regenerative material made from the root network of fungi, which were originally intended for use in the construction industry and as building insulation, however, its conception also opens exciting prospects for the creative and events industries. The goal being to understand some of the environmental impacts of working with mycelium, and open up the conversation of the way we work with materials and our relation of production within the creative industries. Produced and Directed by Phoebe Holman and shot and edited by Siddiqui Media, this film was produced by an all-female video production team, bringing together young people who have never had prior access to festival environments or documentary productions. We were given the chance to not only create a short film about this innovative bio-material, but offer a unique opportunity in the documentary making process for aspiring female videographers and producers.
